Presentation

The Christian Kings Alcazar is one of the most important monuments and theNorth wall most important civilizations lived there: since the Roman Period till nowadays. That's why we wanted to dedicate a special section on its history, distinguishing each of the stages experienced by our building.
We are going to analyse the monument as a tourist visit. We are starting from the walls, entrying through the main entrance. There you can find the Alphonse X’s the Wise statue. After that a little entrance leads us to the Main Gallery that links the north wall and therefore the TributeMoorish Court Tower and Lions Tower, besides the Room of the Mosaics and the Ocean Room. Going down to the ground floor we can appreciate the Royal Baths and the Moorish Court that leads us to the Gardens.
The collection of mosaics in the Alcazar are wonderful and all of them are extracted from the Corredera Square, which was a Roman Circus, one of the largest and most important of the Iberian Peninsula, and soon will have itsGardens of the Alcazar own section on our website.
Another point on which we have particular interest is the treatment of the gardens. The gardens are unique since the Caliphate Period. The gardens were watered with the water coming from the river or the woodland. Alcazar Gardens are a symbol of the history of our city, they inspired a lot of poets and writers and a place very close to the daily lives of Córdoba.
Finally, and as usual, we made a small Photo Gallery, to the knowledge of the monument is as complete as possible, who want to know in depth. We want them to their liking.
