The Brotherhood

Complete name.
Illustrious Brotherhood of the Blessed Sacrament, Our Lady of Joy and Brotherhood of Nazarenes of Our Father Jesus of the Sentence, Holy Mary of Grace and Protection, and Saint Nicholas of Bari.

History.
It was founde in 1944 in the Church of Saint Nicholas of La Villa by solicitors and businessmen, helped by the Priest Paulino Seco Herrera, under the title of Jesus in front of Pilate, which is substituted in 1946 by the nowadays Our Father Jesus of the Sentence. It makes its first penitence time on Holy Monday 1945, being the unique brotherhood which processes on this day till 1951, when the Brotherhood of Souls is introduced. In 1976 the Image of Holy Mary of Grace and Protection is introduced and begins its penitence time in 1979. Nowadays the Brotherhood is going to restore the Hermitage of Our Lady of Joy, in order to turn it into the new site. They are also trying to make a new Image of Our Lady of Joy, owner of the Brotherhood. The old one needs to be restored and Miguel Ángel Jurado is going to perform a new one.

Tunic of the Nazarenes.
The tunic is deep red with white buttons in the center and in the sleeves. The cloak is white. The cover face is white with the shield of the Brotherhood. The belt is white and deep red with the fall on the left side. The shoes and socks are black and the gloves are white.

Our Father Jesus of the Sentence.
It represents the moment in which Pilate decides the sentence of Jesus. The scene is completed with Barabbas, two romans, and Claudia Procula.
