Distributor

We go out from the library, there is row-distributor, from whose walls hang veryDistributor interesting paintings, such as an oil portrait performed by Eugenio de Lucas and representing "Saint Mary Magdalene", or "The Arrest of Jesus" made by the cordovan painter Antonio del Castillo y Saavedra, a very important painter of the XVII Century in our city.
On the right there is a little art gallery, known as Brueghel Room, in fact it keeps masterpieces belonging to the school of this marvellous flemish painter. It is a totality of six oil paintings, that represents "The Animals going to the Ship", and "The Allegory of the War", and a serie of four paintings called the "Allegory of theBrueghel Room Senses", without the touch. All them are made with a warm colour, typical of the flamingo school, as well as the taste for the meticulusness. An ivory italian counter, banks and a rug compose its furniture.
Towards left we go to the Duque de Rivas Lounge. From its walls hang ten paintings, three of them are signed by Ángel de Saavedra, the Duke of Rivas, like the "Self-Portrait", signed in Gibraltar in 1824, a "Still Life" signed in 1830 in Orleans, or "Saint Mary Magdalene" signed in Naples in 1846. Some of the worksDuque de Rivas Lounge have been attributed to the Duke, others by other artistsof the period. To stand out is a great lamp which is into the lounge.
We come back to the row-distributor that we leave to enter the Brueghel Lounge, where we can admire a piece of furniture (bargueño mudéjar) of the XVI Century, on which we find an anonymous "Portrait of Charles III". After a little step, we can contemplate to "Saint Michael", a copy of the original one by Bartolomé Bermejo, and a "Ecce Homo" by Luis Morales, called "The Divine", a painter with a wonderful technique who was the official painter of Philip II.
