Gallery of Tiles

        Without any doubt this gallery keeps one of the most important collection of the palace, with thirty six pieces of national ceramic, which give the name to the sameGallery of Tiles. They are dated of the XIII and XIX Centuries, from there you can appreciate perfectly the evolution of the same during the years. All of them are presented with its wooden frame, with the decoration made of shields, trade or the bullfight. It exists an inventory which is hand made and all the Pieces are exposed accompanied by an explanation and a description.
        Among the pieces of furniture it is important to stand out four bronze candelabrums, four axes folders, lamps. In the middle of the gallery there is a big popular Spanish table of the XVII Century, with a board and the legs with lyre shape, on which there are five big books with the Gregorian singings. The complex is ended by a portrait, an oil one, which represents "Saint Diego", and it isGallery of Tiles attributed to Francisco de Zumbarán, but nowadays it thought to be have come out from a common workshop and not from the famous artist.
        We will end the visit referring to two pieces of furniture. The first one is a chair with arms dated at the end of the XVII Century, decorated with red velvet and curved arms, on which there are geometrical decorations. The second is an overwhelming masterpiece, it is a Louis XIII armchair with blue velvet and made in France. It is made by four parts put one on another and screwed like a balustrade which forms the legs of it, prolonging till the front part of the arms, and being the supports of it.
